Alien light show...ON NOW!

Have you ever seen the Northern Lights a.k.a. the Aurora Borealis before? Like up close in person? Like you were right under it and not only seeing it through the glass windows of your TV? If yes, good for you! If no, join the club! :)

Ever since my friend mentioned the Northern Lights and how we’ll go and see it, I’ve been semi-obsessed! I’ve made it a habit to check the Aurora Borealis visibility forecast every day now. I go to this website: http://www.gedds.alaska.edu/AuroraForecast/ where they give short term visibility forecasts good for about 2 or 3 days at a time. And I hear that the peak visibility times of the Aurora B is during the winter!

It’s just exciting! I can’t wait for when we drive out of Winnipeg with our friends, with our blankets and hot coco in tow just to sit in the dark and go "ooohhh" and "aaahhh" at the light show above. :)

I was doing a GRRREAT job resisting the urge to create another online account until PR class today. Hahaha. It seems that in order to be considered human in the 20th century, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts are mandatory. (Hey does anybody remember MySpace or Friendster? Or chatting on MIRC?? asl please?) Harharhar. So yeah, that means that I have another set of log-in information that I have to store in my brain. Heehee.

    No, but seriously, I have chosen to mainly write about stuff that I notice, that normal people might not. And yes, that means I am abnormal.

    For example, ever noticed that there are some days that a lot of people just happen to be wearing the same color, that it’s hard NOT to notice? Or ever found yourself in a situation with another person, that if reversed, you would think the person was creepy? Ok, that was weird. Anyhoo, those are the things that I want to blog about. And just so ya know, there will be times that I will be deviating from my theme...just to shake things around.
